San Diego was the site of the 6th Annual Luxury Real Estate Spring Retreat, a vital real estate industry event that attracted more than 250 high-end experts, including Peabody & Smith Realty, Broker Owner Andy Smith.
The Spring Retreat featured Ben Stein as the keynote speaker. Mixing in-depth knowledge and humor, the famous actor, economist and lawyer spoke on “The Psychology of Buying Luxury Property.”
“Real estate is the only good which is both a consumption good and an investment good,” Stein noted in his speech. “Real estate is the best investment in the history of the world. Buy low and sell high, just like the stock market. Prices are low now, which means anybody who is smart will be investing now.”
Smith said, “Ben Stein was very engaging and had some strong points to make about why now is the time to buy real estate. There were so many great ideas that came out of this conference, and the sharing of our knowledge pools gives us the opportunity to analyze new innovative ideas and initiative, which in turn benefits our clients and our customers.”
