San Diego was the site of the 6th Annual Luxury Real Estate Spring Retreat, a vital real estate industry event that attracted more than 250 high-end experts, including Peabody & Smith Realty, Broker Owner Andy Smith. The Spring Retreat featured Ben Stein as the keynote speaker. Mixing in-depth knowledge and humor, the famous actor, economist and lawyer spoke on “The Psychology of Buying Luxury Property.”

Peabody & Smith Brokers Attend Conference in Florida
Andy Smith, broker owner of Peabody & Smith Realty along with Broker Associate Beth Horan and Sales Associate Steve Horan recently attended the 2008 Luxury Portfolio and Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® conferences in Boca Raton, FL. About 800 real estate brokers, managers, relocation professionals, sponsors and guests from the U.S. and 11 countries participated in the annual event.

Steve Horan Receives VT Real Estate License
Peabody & Smith Commercial Sales Associate Steve Horan recently received his real estate license for the state of Vermont. Horan joined Peabody & Smith in the fall, and has been successfully working in their commercial department. With an office in Vermont, it’s only natural for the Peabody & Smith Realty Commercial Department to have the majority of their agents also licensed there. Horan said, “I’m excited to have received my Vermont license so that I can begin broadening my geographic area to offer real estate services to clients and customers on both side of the border.”

Peabody & Smith Recognizes Sales Achievement
At a recent company wide meeting, Andy Smith of Peabody & Smith Realty awarded a number of sales awards to brokers and sales associates in the firm. For gross sales exceeding 10 million dollars, an award was presented to Broker Associate, Beth Horan. She was named the 2007 Peabody & Smith Residential Broker of the Year and received a trip to the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World Conference in Boca Raton Florida in April.

Andy Smith, CCIM, Broker/Owner of Peabody & Smith Realty was named the Business Leader of the Year by the Littleton Area Chamber of Commerce. Smith was nominated for the award by Mike Claflin of Connecticut River Bank, and by his fellow brokers/staff at Peabody & Smith.
