Andy Smith, CCIM is the Owner/Broker of Peabody & Smith Realty and has over 25 years experience in the Real Estate Industry. In 2004 he was designated as a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), which means he is a recognized expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate. He is a founding Member of the NH Commercial Investment Board of Realtors, having severed as a Board member, Treasurer, and President. In 2004 he was named the boards Realtor of the Year. Additionally, he is a past Director of the Northern New England Real Estate Network, is a member of the Littleton Rotary Club and serves on the Board of Directors for The Guaranty Bancorp/Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank. In January 2008 Andy was awarded the Littleton Area Chamber of Commerce 2007 Business Leader of the Year. Jere Peabody, GRI, Vice President/Broker is a New Hampshire native and his early professional focus followed his family's strong impact on the ski industry. Following college in the State University System, he became Vice President of Sno-Engineering, the premier mountain resort planning company. In the 80's Jere began to devote all his time to real estate, and in 1992 joined with Andy Smith to form Peabody & Smith Realty. He currently serves on the Public Policy Committee of the New Hampshire Association of Realtors and is on the Old Man of the Mountain Museum Committee. Joy Moore, CBR, CRS, GRI, Broker Associate. Joy's focus for 20 years has been the Littleton and surrounding area real estate market, residential and land. She has held a number of positions with the local Realtor Boards, both the North Country Board of Realtors and the Lakes Region Board, where she is Past-President. In 2009, Joy was chosen as the Lakes Region Board of Realtors, "Realtor of the Year". Joy is licensed in Vermont also. Ken Mosedale, Commercial & Investment Broker has over 30 years of experience in the real estate business. He is a graduate of the University of Vermont and has been instrumental as a consultant on numerous land subdivisions in the Franconia area. He is a member of the nationally recognized Certified Commercial Investment Institute (CCIM) and a member of the NH Commercial Investment Board of Realtors. Anne Foss, Associate Broker was raised in Dedham, Massachusetts and relocated to New Hampshire in 1971. She is the mother of daughter, Ellie and grandmother of two. Practicing real estate since 1971, Anne is a very knowledgeable Broker and knows a multitude of information about the area. Anne also serves as a board member on the Habitat for Humanity - Ammonoosuc Chapter. In her spare time, she enjoys golf and tennis and being a "handy ma'am"! Ray Holland, Associate Broker has held a NH Brokers license for over forty years and has extensive experience in land brokerage throughout the Northern New Hampshire region. He is retired from thirty years in law enforcement, lives in Franconia and has served on several local committees and boards. He'll walk land with you in any season, any weather.

Peter Mogren, Sales Associate has been practicing real estate since 1985, and is also known as our staff photographer. His scenic shots grace many of our webpages. Peter has a love for hospitality, music, cooking and was named one of the 100 Best Kids' Ski Instructors in the country by Ski Magazine. He is a delighted father and grandfather and enjoys spending time with his family and wife for over a quarter century, Joanne. In his spare time, Peter can be found gardening, hiking and cooking. Charles Crannell, Sales Associate came to the real estate profession after a very successful career in banking where he held several management positions and as an elected Vice President of community banking. Charlie has served in the local community as President of the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce and Charter Board member of the Colonial Theatre and Arts Center of Bethlehem. He is also a member of WREN and the Lakes Region Board of Realtors Legislative committee. Charlie was raised in the Boston area and came back to the White Mountains after spending his childhood summers here. Beth Horan, CBR, CRS, Green, SRES, Broker Associate was awarded Peabody & Smith's Sales Associate of the Year in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2008 and tied in 2009. Beth has been with the company since 1998 and is a Licensed Realtor in both NH & Vt. She has obtained the highly coveted designations of Certified Residential Specialist and SRES. Beth just completed Green for personal betterment and awareness as well, as an effort to keep abreast of buyers' keen interests and market trends.  A Green Mountain College Alumni majoring in Retail Management & Textile Design led to independent careers for 11 years in Interior design and family home textiles business. Following in her Grandmother’s footsteps, Beth turned to real estate to fulfill her dreams of combining all her passions of working with people and design, along with her love for Real Estate and Architecture. Beth said assisting clients and customers with frequent, clear communication and knowledge of the area while hand holding them through a smooth transaction is what feels good. Beth and husband Steve have lived in Franconia for years with their two sons Travis and Tucker along with black lab Chase. She is an avid runner and enjoys, hiking, biking, skiing, gardening, yoga and sewing She participates on the Franconia Rec. Susan Jones, CBR, CRS, GRI, Broker Associate Prior to obtaining her real estate license in 2000, Susan was a paralegal in a real estate law firm, a closing agent for a title company and an alumnae of University of North Texas where she received a BS in Criminal Law. She has earned the GRI designation (Graduate Realtor Institute) and the highly coveted designation of Certified Residential Specialist. In 2009, she tied with another agent, and was awarded the Peabody & Smith Sales Associate of the Year. She also has a Vermont Real Estate Brokers license. Married to her high school sweetheart for more than 14 years, Susan enjoys spending time with her husband and their two Golden Retrievers, Brady & Ginger. Mary Doherty, GRI, Commercial & Investment Broker joined Peabody & Smith in 2000 after spending 25 years in the insurance and financial services industry. She was the co-owner and general manager of an independent insurance agency in Massachusetts. Mary has a degree in Economics from Marymount College in Tarrytown, New York. She is a member of the NH Commercial Investment Board of Realtors and a candidate for the nationally recognized designation of Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and has earned the GRI designation (Graduate Realtor Institute). Mary O'Toole, CBR, Broker Associate received her real estate license in 2004. She had previously been self-employed in the pet grooming and boarding industry for 30 years and is ambitious and enthusiastic to assist you with your real estate needs. Born in Portland, Maine, raised in Connecticut, Mary is a graduate of Central Connecticut State College and worked for a commercial real estate firm during that time. Christopher Jones, Sales Associate works out of our Franconia office. He received his real estate license after a decade working as a Physical Therapist, most recently as Rehabilitation Manager at Littleton Regional Hospital. While his former career was in health care, he is no stranger to real estate, as his wife Susan is a Broker Associate at Peabody & Smith. In his spare time Jones has a number of hobbies, he is an avid fisherman, and serves as President of the Ammonoosuc Chapter of Trout Unlimited. He also enjoys skiing and playing poker. Diane Johnson, Sales Associate has been in real estate for 7 years, and has earned her Sales Associates license and Realtor status. Before pursuing real estate, Diane was a nurse and has had her nursing license for over 20 years. She takes pleasure in camping with her husband and three boys and is active in school events and serves on the School Board for the Bethlehem Elementary School. Toni Morris, Broker Associate lives in Waterford, Vermont and previously spent thirteen years working for the US Postal Service and was the Postmaster in Danville. Michele M. Penner, CBR, Green, GRI, RSPS, SRES, Broker Associate and her husband Terry have owned property at Bretton Woods since 1996. After having sold their wholesale business in the southern part of the state in 2006, they moved to Bretton Woods to pursue a career promoting the area they loved through real estate sales. Michele has been licensed with Peabody & Smith since 2007. In 2008 she received her broker’s license and earned both the GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) and SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist) designations. In 2009, she earned the RSPS (Resort and Second Home Property Specialist) designation. “Purchasing a property at Bretton Woods was the best thing we ever did for our family. Terry Penner, Green, RSPS, SRES, Sales Associate, has lived in southern NH since he was small, and owned and operated a distribution business for over 30 years, working closely with his wife, Michele. Steve Horan, Commercial Sales Associate works in our Franconia office and specializes in commercial real estate. Steve spent 35 years self employed as a paint and drywall contractor, and has been an area resident for the past 18 years. Deb Holland, CRS, GRI, Sales Associate concentrates on serving the greater Plymouth NH area. She is a long time Realtor and former owner of the Loon’s Nest Gift Shop. Deb attended schools in North Carolina and Boston University. She holds the highly coveted Realtor designations of GRI as a Graduate of the Realtor Institute and she is a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS). She has spent many years as a self employed entrepreneur and has many hats of experience in marketing, property values, and has the proven ability to bring buyers and sellers together to a successful closing. Birgitte “Deda” Newbert, Sales Associate is originally from Copenhagen, Denmark where she was born and raised and she moved to the states 22 years ago. Deda and her husband Chris are professional underwater photographers and ran a diving tour company that conducted exclusive diving expeditions to the finest and most remote reefs in the world. They have lived all over the globe, and she had one of her photos published in the November 2008 issue of National Geographic. Deda said, “We began to want to spend more time at home, and on land, so I decided to get my real estate license and bring my knowledge of horses and horse farms and international real estate to the local real estate market.” In her spare time, she enjoys hosting horsemanship clinics on their farm and she teaches riding both privately and in groups for intermediate riders seeking to improve their confidence and skills in both Western and English disciplines. Carmen Burns, Sales Associate works in our Plymouth, NH office. Carmen is a resident of Rumney and has lived in the Pemi Valley for over thirty years. She worked in retail in a variety of capacities, including teaching classes, buying product, customer service and more. She has also been self employed for the last three years as a quilting instructor. Real estate has always been of interest to her as she has bought and sold many properties and grew up as part of a successful real estate business in Northern VT. Tom Carstens, Sales Associate earned his New Hampshire Real Estate license in 2001, after moving to the area from Minnesota to be closer to his son and granddaughter. He originally hails from the midwest, and for 25 years worked as an engineer and operations manager in the food and beverage industry.  Tom enjoys selling and showing land parcels, listing residential homes, showing homes, and meeting with clients and learning about the home they want to sell. He lives in Littleton with his wife Beth, and enjoys landscaping, skiing and caring for their home on seven acres of woodland. Jerrod Mitchell, Broker Associate, has worked in the real estate industry for over five years. He worked for a large real estate firm in Boston, and then moved north five years ago and worked at a Plymouth area real estate firm. Jerrod loves his job, as real estate is his passion. He enjoys working with people and helping his clients and customers. Jerrod grew up in Southern NH and graduated from Plymouth State University in 1999 with a B.A. in History. Chrissy Smith, Marketing Director has a diverse media background having worked in radio and print mediums in the area. She handles general marketing and relocation at Peabody & Smith, advertising, the website and more. She has a degree in Communications from Lyndon State College and is active in the community. She is a member of Friends in Council and is a Past President of the Littleton Rotary Club. In 2007, she was named by the Union Leader as one of New Hampshire's "40 Under Forty". Stacey Randall, Office Manager/Administrative Assistant, works out of our St. Johnsbury office. Stacey was born in St. Johnsbury and grew up in Lyndonville, VT. She earned a B.S in Business Administration and a B.S. in Small Business Management from Lyndon State College. Stacey brings 17 years of administrative experience to Peabody & Smith Realty. Debbie Ugo, Administrative Assistant, works out of our Franconia office. She moved to New Hampshire in 2000 after living in MA and working in her husband’s donut shop for 10 years. She has also owned and operated a motel and worked in various admin/customer service positions. Debbie has found that she really enjoys the versatility of the Real Estate field. She enjoys traveling to a warmer climate in the winter months and her free time is spend reading and exploring the North Country by motorcycle. Sue Sampson, Plymouth Managing Broker, is a long time Plymouth resident. Sue is a retired teacher having served 32 years in the Plymouth area as a high school health and physical education teacher. She received her real estate license after turning a life long love of real estate into a full time job following her retirement from teaching. Sampson was raised and educated in Keene and moved to Plymouth in 1976. She is an active member of the community as a middle school field hockey coach for 23 years, and a past member of the Plymouth Parks and Recreation Commission. Sue lives in Plymouth with her husband. Erin T. Hennessey, Commercial Sales Manager, works out of our Franconia office. She is Licensed CPA, and graduated from Boston College with a BS in Management and Accounting. She worked for a Big 4 accounting firm, a global golf club and ball manufacturer, and an international consulting firm before moving to the North Country in 2007. Erin currently serves on the Board of Directors for North Country Home Health and Hospice Agency. Erin recently was an Economics Instructor at Lyndon State College. Erin enjoys spending time with her family, attending book club meetings, trying new sports and traveling. She resides in Littleton with her husband, John, and two young children.
